Can I move my garden hydrangea indoors?
If you would like to bring your Magical hydrangea indoors for the winter months and keep it in its decorative pot, we suggest letting the plant get a good frost, where the leaves turn brown and crinkly. Once it gets a frost, you can remove the leaves with your hand and bring the plant indoors for the winter months. Place it next to a sunny window and keep it moist, avoiding direct sunlight. Try to keep it away from hot or cold drafts. At the end of winter, when you begin to see new leaves emerging, and the danger of frosts has passed, you can return your potted hydrangea to its favorite outside location. Make sure to remove and replenish the potting soil every other year and to apply fertilizer to the plant once it begins to leaf out again.
There are also special Magical indoor hydrangeas for indoors, if you would prefer a totally indoor plant.
